Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

The short version: we collect what you type into our contact form and basic analytics about how the site is used. We use it to reply to you, send the updates you asked for, and improve the site. We don't sell it.

Who we are

This policy covers gridlantis.org, run by Gridlantis LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Gridlantis", "we", "us"). Questions about it can go to Gridlantis@gmail.com.

What we collect

• What you send us. When you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and primary interest. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email.
• Usage data. Our home page uses Google Analytics, which records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (city or region), your browser and device type, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
• Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request information when your browser loads a page. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't ask for payment details, passwords or sensitive personal information through this site.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and discuss work you've asked about, by email or, if you gave us your number, by phone call or text message.
• To send occasional updates about our products and services, usually once or twice a month, if you've signed up for them.
• To understand how the site is used and make it better.
• To keep the site secure and working.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run the site, and they may only use it to provide those services:

• Formspree receives and stores contact form submissions and forwards them to us. Formspree's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics provides our usage statistics. Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare hosts the site. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts and cdnjs serve fonts and icons, so your browser contacts them when a page loads.
• GitHub hosts our software downloads. When you download an installer, the file comes from GitHub.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Emails, calls and texts from us

We only contact people who've given us their details through our form or written to us. Every email update includes a way to unsubscribe. You can reply STOP to any text message, or write to Gridlantis@gmail.com to stop any kind of message. We don't sell or share phone numbers for other companies' marketing.

Cookies and your choices

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our site doesn't currently change its behavior when it receives one.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details for as long as we're in touch with you or you're subscribed to updates. Ask us and we'll delete them. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email Gridlantis@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including some US states, the law may give you more rights over your data. We'll honor those requests too.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit who can access the information you send us. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Visitors outside the US

We're based in the United States, and the services listed above may process your information in the US or other countries. By using the site, you understand that your information may be handled there.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll let you know by email.
